Terms of service
Last updated: 1 October 2026
These terms explain how LangSo works and what we and you agree to when you create an account, take a test or join a programme. Please read them before you pay.
Who we are
LangSo (Language Society) is an online language-learning community run by Bahraleloom Abdalrahem. In these terms, "LangSo", "we" and "us" mean LangSo, and "you" means the person using the site.
You can contact us at support@langso.org.
Your account
- You need a free account to take the level test or join a programme. Give your real name and an email address you use.
- One account is for one person. Keep your password private, because you are responsible for what happens in your account.
- If you are under 18, you need permission from a parent or guardian to create an account and to pay.
The free level test
The level test is free. Its result is an estimate to help you choose a programme. For private lessons and group classes, your teacher confirms your level in a short speaking check on Zoom.
Programmes and what you get
Each programme page shows its price, the number and length of sessions, and the level it covers, at the time you buy. What is shown there when you pay is what you get.
- Private lessons and IELTS preparation are taught one to one on Zoom. After you pay, you give us your WhatsApp number and your teacher contacts you to arrange the speaking check and your times.
- Group classes are taught on Zoom to 4 to 8 learners at the same level. A group starts when at least 4 learners have joined. Until then you are on the waiting list for that level.
- Real Talk English Club is a monthly subscription to speaking sessions at fixed times. It renews every month until you cancel.
- Recorded courses are self-paced lessons on this site.
Prices and payment
- Prices are in US dollars. You pay in advance, at checkout.
- Payments are processed by Creem, our payment provider and merchant of record. Creem handles your card details. LangSo does not see or store them.
- Depending on where you live, sales tax or VAT may be added at checkout.
- The club subscription is charged every month on the date you joined. You can cancel it any time and it stops at the end of the month you paid for.
Refunds
Our refund rules for each programme are on the refund policy page. They form part of these terms.
Live sessions
- Join on time, with a working microphone. A camera is welcome but not required.
- Private lessons and IELTS: give at least 24 hours’ notice to move a session. Later cancellations and missed sessions count as used.
- Be respectful to teachers and other learners. We may remove anyone who harasses, insults or disrupts others, and in serious cases close their account without a refund for the sessions affected.
- Do not record sessions without the agreement of everyone in them.
Course materials
Lessons, videos, tests, worksheets and other materials on LangSo belong to LangSo or the people who made them. You may use them for your own learning. Please do not copy, share, sell or publish them.
Certificates
Some programmes give a LangSo certificate of completion. It shows that you completed a LangSo programme. It is not a university qualification, does not carry academic credit, and we do not verify your identity.
Results
We teach carefully and give you a clear path, but how far you get depends on your practice too. We cannot promise a specific level, exam score or result.
Changes and availability
- We may change programmes, schedules or prices in the future. A change never affects a programme you have already paid for.
- If we have to stop a programme you paid for and cannot offer an alternative you accept, we refund what you have not used.
- We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change is important, we will tell you by email.
Our responsibility
We do our best to keep the site and sessions running, but internet and service problems can happen. If something goes wrong on our side, we will fix it or reschedule what you missed. Our total responsibility to you is limited to the amount you paid for the programme concerned. This does not limit any right you have under the law of your country.
