Our Story
We started with one language course. Now we're a global language school.
LangSo didn't start as a platform. It started with short English and Spanish courses, and practical language-learning tips shared with anyone around the world who wanted them. Today we're an online school teaching foreign languages to learners in countries across the globe.
Why LangSo exists
Plenty of people study a foreign language for years. Then the moment comes when they're supposed to speak it — and nothing comes out. They know the rule and they've memorised the word, but they've never practised it enough, or in the right way.
That isn't a failure of intelligence or effort. It's a failure of method: a great deal of learning, very little practice, and nobody qualified following your progress.
Understanding a language and being able to speak it are two entirely different things. We built LangSo to close the distance between them.
From a short lesson, to full courses, to a global school
LangSo began with simple lessons, tips, and real discussion — then courses in several languages. Over time it became a school, and a community that learns every day and keeps asking for more.
And one question came back more than any other: where do I actually start? Scattered content motivates and inspires, but on its own it doesn't teach a language. That's where the next step came from — turning all of it into real courses, with an order, a beginning, an end, and a teacher who follows you the whole way through.
How we teach
Our method rests on a single idea: consistency is where progress comes from.
Courses of four to ten weeks
Every course runs in short, clearly-defined sections. Each one has a specific goal and a finish line — not an open road with no end in sight.
Two to four lessons a day, five days a week
Twenty to forty minutes per lesson, plus twenty minutes of guided practice. Daily doses a busy person can realistically keep to.
A live session every week
Once a week you sit with a real teacher and speak out loud. Because speaking isn't learned by reading about it — only by doing it.
Weekly assessment
At the end of each week you know exactly where you stand and what you can now do — instead of guessing, or settling for the feeling of progress.
Where we're going
LangSo wasn't built to be one successful course — it was built to be a school that widens. What we're building now is the foundation: a curriculum that can carry one language after another, a system that suits a complete beginner as well as someone preparing for an international exam, and a community that stays with the learner after the course ends.
More languages
The curriculum is built to carry across from one language to the next, rather than being rebuilt from scratch each time — so the school can widen without the standard slipping.
A full path
From the first step in a new language, through the advanced levels, to certification exams — same logic, same standard throughout.
A growing community
A learner's part doesn't end when the course does — they stay inside a community that practises, talks, and shares what works.
What we believe
Practice alongside learning
One hour of speaking is worth more than ten hours of watching someone else speak. Every lesson is designed to be used, not just watched.
You're not on your own
We're not an app for random practice. There's a teacher following your progress and giving you feedback.
AI is a helper, not a replacement
We use it to multiply your practice and give instant feedback — alongside real contact with your course teacher.
Bahraleloom Abdalrahem
Founder of LangSo
A speaker and teacher of English, German, Spanish, and French. An engineer and developer of intelligent systems, and an AI trainer. LangSo brings together what he'd been working on along separate tracks for years: languages, AI, technology, and education.
His view is that the problem in language learning was never a shortage of resources — there are far more than enough — but the absence of a clear path, of real follow-up, and of a space where a learner dares to speak and get it wrong, together with too little understanding of how to put technology to work for language learning. LangSo is his attempt at building that path.
Our team is growing every day
LangSo is led directly by its founder, together with three teachers and team members. We're always open to more teachers who are passionate about teaching languages and speaking them. If you'd like to join us, write to recruitment@langso.org
